DLC Details

  • Main Title: Burnout Paradise
  • DLC Title: Burnout Paradise Party Pack
  • Released (UK): 05/02/2009
  • Current Price (UK) : 800 MS Points

Main Reasons to Buy

The Burnout Paradise Party Pack DLC allows you to run offline “party” games for up to 8 players on your console. These games are short challenges that should last between 30 seconds to 2 minutes per player and are typically along the lines of a specific stunt or getting as many near misses as possible. These games are fun to play by themselves if you dont fancy going into the main game itself. The DLC also gives you two new achievements that are each worth 25 gamerpoints.

Main Reasons to Avoid

This is all that if offers and 800MS points is quite expensive for adding features that should be included in the game to start with. There is also the question of are you likely to use the party mode that much. You can replicate most of what the DLC provides in theĀ  single player game just without the scoring or you could just use the online multiplayer. The party pack while fun does not therefore add that much to what is in the game already.

My Recommendation

CONSIDER – 6/10

If it was 400 MS points it may be worth considering for the novelty value and the two achievements. At 800 MS points it is not really worth it unless you are likely to use the party mode a lot, in which case it is worth considering.
