Background

The Ultimate Box Version of Burnout Paradise is an updated version of last years bestselling arcade racer Burnout Paradise. With it you get all the free DLC that has been released in the past year as well as the newly released premium DLC the Burnout Paradise Party Pack. Other than that there is no difference between this version and the original one.

Main Reasons to Buy

Burnout Paradise is an awesome game and really fun to play. The game has a  good mixture of modes from standard races to stunt runs and time trials, the game is also easy to pick up and play. Burnout Paradise is also not solely limited to cars as there is also the option to ride (motor)bikes as well. The soundtrack to the game is also good and you may find yourself singing  “Paradise City” by Guns n Roses at odd moments. With the inclusion of the party pack and all the  free DLC at the current price if you have to pick a version of Burnout Paradise to buy then the Ultimate Box is it, and in some stores it is currently the same price as the original version.

Main Reasons to Avoid

There is the issue that if you like arcade style racing games you probably will have already bought Burnout Paradise and the Ultimate edition does not add much if anything aside from the overpriced party pack. The only other issue is that people who prefer racing simulations may find the racing too simplistic.

My Recommendation

BUY – 9/10

Burnout Paradise is probably the Best arcade style racing game available for the Xbox 360 at the present time. Assuming you do not already have a copy of Burnout Paradise and like arcade racers make sure you buy a copy of this at some point. If you already have the original Burnout Paradise then you don’t need to bother with this version.
