Game Details

  • Title: Uno Rush
  • Developer: Microsoft
  • Released (UK): 25/03/2009
  • Current Price: 800 MS Points
  • Age Rating: E
  • Game Type: Card Game
  • Multi-player: Up to 4 players online and local

Background

Uno Rush is a sequal of sorts to the ever popular UNO on XBLA. The basic principle of UNO rush is the same as UNO but the game play mechanism is slightly different. Instead of removing 1 card per turn you instead remove as many cards as you can, within a set time frame, with the cards being removed in the order they are in your hand with the card at the top of your hand (closest to centre) removed first. Special cards are still included in the deck but once they are played your turn ends.

Positives

The game is faster paced than UNO and easy to get into and may even be more enjoyable to play than the original game. It also offer local multiplayer for up to 4 players

Negatives

It is not all that different from the original UNO and is twice the price on Xbox Live.

My Recommendation

Consider – 7/10

UNO Rush is a fun game, but I feel like it should have been offered as a 400 MS Point game or even as an expansion to the original UNO since I found it offered little over the original UNO aside from its faster pace. These factors make my final rating slightly lower than it would otherwise have been.
